The Author of I’m Thinking About Retiring

Hi, I’m Cynthia, the author and passionate curator of I’m Thinking of Retiring. As a retiree myself, I embarked on a quest to explore the countless possibilities that this next phase of life offers. I had an interesting and exciting career, and I was determined to have an equally interesting and exciting retirement. I spent thousands of hours researching the ways that I could do that.

One thing all that research taught me, and it’s worth sharing, is that retirement is not an endpoint; it’s a fresh starting point filled with endless opportunities. If you’re like me, you worked hard, raised a family, and put others’ needs ahead of your own. All the obligations have been met, time for the proverbial “me time,” a lifestyle makeover, a refresh, or a reboot. Call it what you will.

Through this blog, I aim to empower you with valuable insights, expert advice, and entertaining information (I’m your source for infotainment) that will inspire you to embrace your retirement years to the fullest. Whether you’re contemplating your next adventure, seeking ways to stay active and engaged, or curious about the best destinations for older adults, I’ve got you covered.

Retirement is probably a word we should get rid of. Too many stereotypes or implied limitations. This new waypoint in life allows us to break free from the confines of routine and embark on new experiences. The purpose of I’m Thinking of Retiring is to help you embrace adventures that you didn’t think were possible and to discover the hidden gems that you never knew existed. By sharing practical tips, captivating stories, and thought-provoking ideas, I hope to spark your imagination and fuel your desire for a rewarding retirement.
